This seems to be a great pan. I am still slow at reviewing because any non stick is good at first. Today I have had it for over a month and I cooked a breakfast scramble. I do not use oils so it will never swirl the eggs around like they do in the video, but with just a touch of "I don't believe it isn't butter" (I know gross, but it is what i do), the scramble was great, no sticking it came off the sides with just my spatula. Everything seems great. I would recommend this pan.
So far I'm using the HexClad 10" pan every day for every meal. It's performed excellent, the way non-stick and stainless should. It's had no issues with sticking nor discoloration. The quality of the pan is perfection in it's appearnce and build. Royal Prestige has never produced a pan this good and they have a top of the line product (or at least they used to) even if their product is grotesquely overpriced. I believe that maybe some people have problems with their cookware because a lot of people simply don't seem to grasp that you don't need to cook on high heat. With HexClad you don't even need medium heat. Now my favorite spatula is a stainless steel one that's very heavy duty. It's even billed for being only used on cast iron and outdoor grills. It's so heavy duty that if you set it down on a table the weight of the stainless blade stays flat on the table with the handle sticking up in the air. I'm actually using it now with my HexClad pan. It's not that it's needed to scrape things off the pan surface, the non-stick works fine, rather it's big and I can actually use it without damaging the HexClad pan and get all of my eggs, or bacon, or fried potatoes all in a one serving scoop. It's also solid so when I press a hamburger down with it to flatten it out this spatula means business. None of that bending going on here. Ya, I'm enjoying this. Can you tell? :o) The real test though is the test of time. Many many years from now I'm expecting the HexClad to be performing just as well as it is today or better. We shall see. However, as I'm building confidence in the HexClad product daily, I would like to try the 3qt or 2qt saucepans. I'm hoping someone at HexClad is reading this because I need you to offer the sauce pans separately with a lid. I don't have the finances to make the purchase of the sets regardless of how much I'd really like to. Are you listening? Potential sale right here.
Heats up fast, cooks evenly. Usually don’t go over medium heat on our gas range because it gets so hot so quickly. Hexclad are absolutely our favorite pans.. We now own three of them.
I need to return this lid . It doesn’t fit my pan . Where do I return this ?
Absolutely love this pan. I got the 10" with the lid. I use it all the time. It's great for searing, cooking eggs, making sauces. It heats up beautifully and consistently. VERY easy to clean. I used a metal whisk on it last night, and while it felt wrong, the pan was just fine.
