pizza toast

ingredients:
1 heirloom tomato, sliced
3 tbsp olive oil
1 lemon, juiced
kosher salt, to taste
freshly ground black
pepper, to taste
2 thick slices of bread
2 tbsp unsalted butter
white truffle oil, to taste
4 oz mozzarella, thinly sliced
4 oz burrata, torn into pieces
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan
dried oregano, to taste
red pepper flakes, to taste

steps:
preheat oven to 355°F.
season tomato slices with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, & pepper.
drizzle white truffle oil on each side of bread.
generously butter both sides.
in a medium frying pan, toast bread until golden brown on both sides.
place bread on baking sheet & top with slice mozzarella.
bake for 5-6 minutes until cheese is melted.
warm tomato sauce in saucepot over medium low heat.
remove toast from oven & top with warmed marinara sauce, burrata, & 2-3 slices of tomatoes.
sprinkle freshly grated parmesan cheese on top.
bake in oven for 6-8 minutes until cheese is melted.
remove from oven & wait 4-5 minutes for toast to rest.
garnish with oregano & chili flakes.
